As long as I remember, I've always had a strong passion for programming and computers in general. There's just something about this area that is so fascinating to me. Perhaps the ability to create anything, whatever I have on my mind?

I started learning programming at a very young age with the help of one of my Mother's acquaintances. He taught me the basics of object-oriented programming with C# and much much more. Then, after our so-called lessons had ended, I started studying this topic on my own. I began doing web development, practising my skills with CSS, HTML, JavaScript and PHP. I continued to pursue my C# learning and even tried Java for a brief moment by writing plugins for my Minecraft server. But that's a whole different story for another time…

Languages

Russian

Since Russian is my native language that I've been speaking for as long as I can remember, I think that my grasp of the said language is quite good. I've had a pretty vast experience with translating text to and from Russian. You can find some examples of such translations on my blog. I'd be happy to participate in language exchange with Russian or to translate texts to and from this language.

English

I've been learning English since early childhood, for about 9 years. Although there are still some concepts that are hard for me to memorise, I think that in general my understanding of and ability to speak the language is quite good. I enjoy learning about the history of the United Kingdom, its culture and its people. Understanding it also helps to better understand the language, all of its quirks and jewels that hide in the shade of history and other languages' influence.

I've also had quite a lot of experience with translating to and from English, and I'd also be happy to help You learn English in the form of language exchange and to translate any text from or to English!

Polish

Polish holds a special place in my heart. I've been learning this language for 3 years, and I think I'm doing pretty well.

When I started learning Polish, I chose this language… out of boredom. Yes, there is no romantic or adventurous story, I just picked a fun-sounding language on Duolingo. But after a couple of months, I slowly started falling in love with this Language, this Country and these People. Now I know quite a bit about Poland's truly heroic history and I'm starting to feel a bit like a Pole myself like it was some sort of hidden part of me all this time.

Although I can understand and speak Polish pretty well, I'm still around the B1 language level, but I'd be happy to try to translate to and from Polish. I'm also open to all sorts of language and culture exchange offers!

Japanese

I've wanted to start learning this language for a very long time. I've always been a great fan of Japanese culture, traditions and of course cuisine. Since I started reading all sorts of manga, the idea of learning this language became more and more attractive.

I finally decided to embark on this journey on the 5th of January 2023. Since I already knew the Hiragana and the Katakana, the first couple of units on Duolingo were quite easy. I think I've finally developed a strategy for learning Japanese words as well as grammar, and I'm eager to continue learning this language to reach fluency!

It's a great honour for me to learn the language of this wonderful Nation with such vast culture and history. Obviously, my grasp of the Japanese language is not as good right now, so I won't make any announcements about translations, however, I'm more than open to all Japanese language exchange offers!

All in all, languages play a major role in my life. I believe that learning languages helps You better understand different people and cultures, as well as broaden Your mind and Your grasp of the universe contributing to world peace and mutual understanding.

The one person that deserves the most credit for my interest in languages is, of course, my Mother. She is the one who supported me the most throughout all the different languages, and She is the one who pushed me to pursue studying at my lowest points. I'm infinitely grateful to Her for everything that She's done for me, and I hope that I wasn't a big hassle for Her.

However, I don't plan to end just on Polish and Japanese! I want to learn as many languages as I can in the lifespan that is given to me. I want to make as many friends as I can throughout the world and meet a lot of amazing people around the globe! I have some plans to learn German, Mandarin Chinese, Korean and Arabic in the future, but I'm also thinking about learning Spanish, French, Serbo-Croatian and Mongolian in the long run.

You can always leave a comment under each and every post, the only two rules are for them to be related to the topic of the publication and to be adequate and fair. I welcome everyone, even somebody with opposing opinions or real critique!
